CODE OF CONDUCT

ABSTRACT

Dhanraj Baid Jain College is always known for its excellence in providing value based education to the younger generation of the city. Dhanraj Baid Jain College never fails to treat every student equally. The institution’s loyalty and integrity towards the society can be found in the responsibilities and behaviours of our students.  DBJC has inspired its students with academic excellence and sportsmanship.

DBJC always sticks to the rule to create a bright future for our students because DBJC believes that its not Creating students for the future but creating a future itself. The institution focuses students to behave humanly responsible and more disciplined.

DBJC trains students with exceptional care of teaching discipline, Spirituality and Humanity in all the time period inside and outside the campus. The inauguration and orientation  programs are conducted every year for all the first year students where it only focuses on training discipline and humanity to the students. DBJC tightly holds to the thought that only a disciplined  individual can only be successful in their life. DBJC’s sportsmanship and its academic excellence is only restrained by the rules and regulations followed by students and faculties. The code of conduct is a manual that helps students and faculties to transform themselves to be in a good position where they can create a securely peaceful co-existing society.



STUDENT GUIDELINES

PUNCTUALITY:

  1. Students must be inside the classroom 15 minutes before the first Bell.
  2. It is mandatory for all students to attend the prayer after the first bell.
  3. Attending all classes in the morning and afternoon are mandatory.
  4. Attendance is taken at the beginning of each period.
  5. Students must be seated in their respective seats inside the classroom before the lecturer enters the classroom.
  6. Late comers will not be allowed inside the classroom and they are instructed to visit the library for the rest of the period and attend the next period.

CLASSROOM:

    1. Students are discouraged from going to the college canteen or wandering in the premises during class hours.
    2. Students are instructed to attend every class and they must maintain at least 80% of attendance during the semester.
    3. Students are expected to exhibit good academic records throughout the academic year.
    4. Excellence in academy is the hallmark of DBJC, therefore students are instructed to score a minimum 75% in every exam conducted by the college.
    5. Students are instructed to speak in decent language inside the class and campus.
    6. Students must stick to the rules of their dress code inside the campus as per the norms of the college.
    7. Students are encouraged to actively participate in all the activities conducted by their department, Clubs, Tirthankara Student’s Senate and the college.
    8. Students are not allowed to bring any kind of non vegetarian food inside the campus.
    9. Non-veg foods (including Egg) are strictly prohibited inside the college campus. Students who violated this rule will be dealt with disciplinary action by the discipline committee.
    10. Students are strictly not allowed in creating any groupism based on  any class, creed, caste in their class and in the  campus.

CODE OF ETHICS

Preface:

Dhanraj Baid Jain College (DBJC) is dedicated to fostering a community characterized by integrity, respect, and ethical conduct. This Code of Ethics serves as a guiding framework for all members of the college community, outlining the principles and standards that govern their behavior and interactions. It is the responsibility of each member to uphold and promote these values, ensuring a culture of honesty, fairness, and accountability. The following guidelines aim to reinforce our commitment to ethical behavior:

1. Academic Integrity:

Uphold the highest standards of academic honesty and integrity in all academic endeavors. Avoid plagiarism, cheating, and any form of academic misconduct.

2. Transparency and Truthfulness::

Be truthful and transparent in all communications and interactions. Give credit to others for their ideas, work, and contributions. Refrain from making false statements, misrepresentations, or omissions of material information.

3. Respect for Diversity:

Value and respect the diversity of backgrounds, perspectives, and identities within the college community. Promote a welcoming and inclusive environment for all individuals, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or other attributes.

4. Courtesy and Respect:

 Treat all members of the college community with courtesy, dignity, and respect. Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or any behavior that creates a hostile environment. Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions, whether with colleagues, students, or external partners.

5. Diligence and Competence:

Fulfill responsibilities and obligations with diligence and competence. Strive for excellence in all endeavors and uphold the reputation of the college through dedicated and proficient work.

6. Conflict of Interest:

 Avoid conflicts of interest that could compromise impartiality or objectivity in decision-making or actions. Promptly disclose any potential conflicts of interest and seek guidance on resolution.

7. Confidentiality:

 Respect individuals’ right to privacy and maintain the confidentiality of personal information. Handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly and in accordance with relevant laws and policies.

8. Reporting Violations:

 Report any violations of this Code of Ethics to the appropriate college authority. Cooperate with investigations and disciplinary processes as required to uphold the integrity of the college community.

Policy Review:

This Code of Ethics shall be subject to periodic review to ensure its relevance and effectiveness. Updates and revisions may be made as necessary to reflect evolving ethical standards and practices.By adhering to these principles and standards, members of the DBJC community contributeto the creation of a supportive and ethical learning environment, fostering personal and academic growth for all.

Ethical Behaviours Include:

    1. DBJC, since its establishment has enforced  the ban of ragging or any type of intimidation in the college campus.
    2. Any student who is involved in this crime  will be expelled from the college and they will be punished legally according to the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Of Ragging Act 1997.
    3. Smoking, drinking and taking drugs on campus are strictly forbidden. any violation of this rule will be viewed with extreme seriousness and appropriate penal/ legal actions will be taken against offenders.
    4. Any student who carries alcohol or cigarettes or any other drugs will be Sent for Counseling Center or may also be dismissed from the college immediately.
    5. No student is allowed to spoil the name of the institution/ staff or student on social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, X, Instagram. If any student does so legal actions will be taken against then according to cyber laws.
    6. Students cannot hold a membership in the Tirthankara Student Senate of the college if they get involved in politics.
    7. By the order of the supreme court, students are forbidden to use mobile phones inside the classrooms or campus during class hours.
    8. No student is allowed to use airpods, bluetooth and other electronic devices inside the campus during Class hours. (Electronic Calculated are permitted inside the campus)
    9. Only permitted students such as visual communication students can bring cameras inside the college campus. Any other student who brings a camera without prior permission from the principal is forbidden.
    10. All vehicles(cycles, scooters,motorbikes,cars etc) should be parked only in the allotted parking  lot near the main gate.
    11. Pleasure riding / doing stunts inside the campus are strictly prohibited and students involved in such activities may get suspended and they will be sent for counselling to the Physical Director.
    12. Wearing a helmet while riding bikes is mandatory. Students who avoid wearing helmets while driving to college will not be allowed inside the college.

EXAMINATION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

    1. Students are expected to pay exam fees on time and generate hall tickets at least one week before the exam.
    2. Students should reach their examination hall 20 minutes before the exam starts.
    3. No student will be allowed inside the examination hall 30 minutes after the exam starts. (Students who arrive after 10:30 AM will not be allowed inside the examination hall)
    4. No student will be allowed inside the examination hall without a proper respective College ID card and respective hall ticket.
    5. Students involving any  malpractice or violating the rules and regulations of the examination cell will have to face serious consequences in  their examination. The examination  paper might be cancelled or they will be banned from writing exams and they will be sent for counselling to COE.
    6. It is mandatory for students to sit inside the examination hall for a minimum of 2 hours.
    7. No additional sheets will be provided during semester exams. Therefore students are instructed to complete their exam within the given answer sheet.

CONDUCT AND GENERAL REGULATIONS

    1. Treat yourself with respect, excuse dignity, be gentle and pleasant with fellow students and maintain a positive demeanour towards everyone.
    2. Greet staff with a smile, show reverence to one another and seek constant guidance from mentors.
    3. Respect each student, teaching, non teaching housekeeping, management faculties and security, colleagues, cooking supervisor, Laboratory technician, electrion, drivers, doctor, nurse, light man, camera man, plumber, Priest, club convenors.
    4. Always wearing an ID card inside campus is mandatory. loss of ID card must be reported to the college authorities immediately.
    5. Carry the college handbook daily. attend classes,labs and skill development programs. regularly and punctually.
    6. Maintain classroom discipline, do not throw trash inside or outside the campus in inappropriate places such as classrooms, walking passage, corridors, grounds, garden, etc., (Follow the Green Audit Policy)
    7. Do not leave the tap open. Save water.
    8. Maintain a daily exercise, take part in DBJC  Yogalaya;s  yoga classes. participate in indoor and outdoor games / activities, seek for fitness advice from P.E Director.
    9. Devote yourself to studies, clear doubts from respective professors and friends promptly.
    10. Except When posing intelligent questions, maintain a silent atmosphere in the classroom and labs.
    11. Always take  care of your personal belongings and handover lost articles to the department in-chargers/Block In-charges through Class Representatives.
    12. Wear a helmet on your way to College, park vehicles only in the designated areas.
    13. Keep lights and fan off when not in use. Class representatives must monitor in this regard.
    14. Keep classrooms and campus clean and neat.  Throw the waste papers in a green bag. Maintain an eco-friendly environment.
    15. Humanity is DBJC’s first priority and legacy, be humble and extend help to others in need.
    16. Priorities punctuality and regular attendance.
    17. Always be kind and show respect to everyone.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF CLASS REPRESENTATIVES

    1. Class representatives are the governing bodies of the classroom, they are appointed by the principal through the head of the department.
    2. They represent their class teachers and the rest of the lecturers during their absence.
    3. Class representatives are responsible for maintaining discipline in  the class during the absence of class lectures.
    4. They must notify the students to the class teacher who are regularly irregular to the class.
    5. They must bring to the notice of the class teacher of any kind of misbehaviour/disobedience of students to the class teacher.
    6. It is a class representative’s duty to notify the class teacher about students who are regularly irregular to the class.
    7. They represent the class for major activities that take place in college.
    8. They are in incharge of every furniture of the class and if any damage or repair should be brought to the notice of the class teaches/hod/principal.
    9. They are responsible for informing whether the syllabus is progressing according to the designated time schedule/Work Diary
    10. They shall also make sure that each student maintains their dress code as per the norms of the college.
    11. Class Representative can transform his powers to assistant class representative during his/her absences.
    12. It is mandatory for the class Representative and assistant class Representative to report to the authorities about a student’s disobedience or drinking or smoking or theft or tearing, ragging
    13. They shall encourage their classmates to participate in academic activities,sports,  games, extracurricular activities and Club activities in large numbers.
    14. They must not misuse their power. And they must prevent their classmates from creating any groupism based on class, creed, caste, etc.
    15. They must be role models to the rest of the class.
    16. They must exhibit good academic records all throughout the academic year.
    17. Only class representatives/assistant class representatives are eligible to vote in the Tirthankara Student’s Senate election of the college.
    18. The class leader/assistant class representatives can be removed at any time if their conduct or behaviour or performance and responsibility is not up to the mark.

INFRACTIONS AND VIOLATIONS

    1. Engaging in any behaviour, whether on or off the premises that undermines discipline, good conduct on the smooth function of the college impacting their reputation.
    2. Conducting, attending or participating in meetings, exhibitions or the distribution of materials like handbills, notices, leaflets, booklets, pamphlets, or posters on the premises without prior written permission from the faculties is prohibited.
    3. Unauthorised holding of meetings, staging or participating in demonstrations, coercive actions, or group activities within or near the premises is not allowed.
    4. Participating in any illegal strike, stay-in-strike,or encouraging such activities near college premises or participating in any such activities wearing a college ID card is strictly prohibited.
    5. Remaining on the premises with the intent to intimidate or threaten the management, faculties or students are not permitted.
    6. Engaging in any conduct within the premises that may endanger the life or safety of management co-staff, students,visitors or others is strictly prohibited.

ATTIRE GUIDELINES

    1. Students must wear formal dress to attend classes in the college.
    2. Wearing of casual dresses like/t-shirts, shirts with images or words on them, sleeveless tops, short skirts and tight pants such as jeans and leggings are strictly prohibited.
    3. Boys must avoid wearing earrings/chin/nose studs/ hand bracelets / long hair / coloured hair as all these are prohibited inside the college premises. Visual Communication students can have their hair coloured only with the permission of H.O.D.
    4. Girls must wear skirts that are well below the knee length.
    5. Wearing a pinned shawl to the churidar is mandatory.
    6. Wearing stylish creepy hat inside the campus are sickly not allowed
    7. Boys and girls must avoid obvious tattoos that are easily visible to others.
    8. Loud hair colours and extreme hair styles for boys and girls are sickly prohibited.

STUDENTS IDENTITY CARD

    1. Student will not be allowed inside the campus without valid College ID card 
    2. Students must wear their ID cards while they are on campus 
    3. Students ID cards will be used to identify the student to borrow Books from the library attending college functions writing examinations collecting certificate the ID card must not be passed on to any person for any use 
    4. If the ID card is lost the HOD and principal should be informed immediately through Class-in-charger and a new ID card will be issued on prescribed payment in the bank.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE PROTOCOL

    1. 75% attendance is mandatory for every student to attend semester exams 
    2. Those who refrain from classes for valid reasons must submit a leave letter that is signed by the parent or guardian along with the signature of the class in-charge and HOD to the principal before they attend the classes.
    3. In case of medical problems, a medical certificate signed by a registered medical practicester with the registration or the roll number is to be submitted immediately after students recover and return to the college.
    4. Attendance percentage can be viewed in ERP and Students without satisfying attendance percentage no books will be issued from the library. 
    5. Student who are taking leave without a proper “On Duty” for participating in Inter-college competitions, Seminars, workshops, NSS Outreach,Club activities will be marked absence 

LIBRARY REGULATIONS

    1. ID verification will be needed borrow any book from the library 
    2. Students can visit the library anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. as long as their visit does not affect any of their class hours.
    3. Books will not be issued without a proper College ID card 
    4. Borrowing other Student’s College ID cards to borrow books is not allowed and their library membership will be cancelled if found guilty by the same 
    5. No one has the right to sub-lend the library books which are borrowed by someone else 
    6. For first and second year students maximum of three books and for final year students maximum of four books will be allowed borrow at one time
    7. The borrower will be held responsible for loss exchange or damage done to the books which were borrowed by She/He. They has to replace the new and latest book of that title after report into the librarian
    8. Books must be returned to the library on or before the due date stamp on them.
    9. A daily charge of rupees Rs.1/- will be imposed for each day after the due date until the book is returned to the library.
    10. No one is allowed to Mark with pencil or pen on the pages of the book Borrowed before leaving the library counter. The student must carefully check the books issued to him or her if any damage is noticed it must be reported to the librarian at once any immediately The student be held responsible for late notice. 
    11. Students and faculties can use the computer systems in library only with the permission of the librarian
    12. The loss of library book should be immediately report to the chief librarian without any delay
    13. No books will be issued to those who do not clear the overdue charges in full.
    14. The library hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays 
    15. Strict silence must be maintained in the library and the reference room.
    16. Students without satisfying attendance percentage no books will be issued from the library. 

PARENT-TEACHER INTERACTION

    1. Parent teachers meeting will be conducted every year by all the department separately
    2. Parents are encouraged to interact with the faculty regularly regarding their ward’s attendance performance and any other related issues.
    3. Parents are requested to take part in the outreach programs conducted by the clubs of the college.
    4. Parents can meet the principal between 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM

COMPLAINT/ SUGGESTIONS

    1. Students are instructed to feel free to complain or suggest any aspect of the college to their class in-charge or HOD without any hesitation. 
    2. Students can drop their suggestions and complaints about any aspect of the college in the complaint box placed next to the principal’s office with their name and roll number. Strict confidentiality will be maintained and their identity will not be disclosed.

THE PRINCIPAL:

    1. The principal is the dynamic academic director of the works in college
    2. She/He is the executive director of the college.
    3. She/He is responsible for all the activities of the college.
    4. She/He needs to be familiar with the rules and regulations of the college to run the institution peacefully.
    5. She/he must shine as a role model to other faculties on students
    6. She/He needs to frequently update himself on the GO’s
    7. She/he solely acts as a superior head of all the clubs of the college.
    8. The principle should encourage the students to participate in all the extra curricular and curricular activities.
    9. She/He should focus on monitoring the annual events if they are happening during the right time as the unifying force between the management and staff and communicate the guidelines in policies involved by the management for ensuring the proper implementation.
    10. The principal supervises all the academic programs in the college and keeps the secretary informed of all the matters of general and financial administrations.
    11. The Principal will represent the college in all academic bodies like the University grants commission, the university and other boards.
    12. The principal Inaugurate the major events and functions of the college he must invite/inform the concerned people in advance.
    13. When the atmosphere is not enough to run the college smoothly, moving to outside elements for a day or two, the principal will decide to close or open the college.
    14. The principal is the overall head of the college thus he has the right to organise, schedule or cancel any event that is organised by any clubs or the departments of the college.
    15. The principal must have received the academic year’s program proposals in the beginning of the Year and She/he must monitor the proposed programs occurrence.
    16. The principle as the following functions in the college: Day to day administration of the college planning and executing all academic programs supervising of teaching and non teaching faculties allotment of work to the teaching and non teaching faculties routing leave applications casual leaves or not enclosed in this to the secretary drawing up to the calendar and time table curriculum and research ensures the regular implementation of academic and other program in accordance with the academic directives drawn by the academic Council of the direct of higher Education.

THE CONTROLLER OF EXAMINATION

    1. The power to design and execute an appropriate and effective method of the academic achievement of the students remains to the COE of the college.
    2. COE must be serious in maintaining confidentiality with regard to the question papers and other important concerns of the offices.
    3. The Academic head, Principal or the COE has the ultimate responsibility for ensuring that evaluation system is administered without any flaw.
    4. The entire power of the exams (Semester/Model/Internal) will remain with the COE.
    5. There will be a team of Office Assistants, COmputer programmers, Data Entry operators and other helpers in the COE.
    6. She/He must  take all the steps necessary for eliminating scope for malpractice by the candidates at all stages.

IQAC COORDINATOR CODE OF CONDUCT:

    1. To oversee the distribution of information regarding different quality standards in higher education.
    2. To manage the documentation of programs and activities aimed at enhancing quality.
    3. To oversee quality-related initiatives within the institution.
    4. To facilitate the preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) for submission to NAAC, focusing on quality parameters.
    5. To ensure the timely and effective implementation of decisions made by the IQAC committee.

TEACHING FACULTIES RULES AND REGULATIONS

    1. The Legacy of DBJC is maintained because of the teaching faculties and they must be punctual to all their classes and they must adhere to class schedules.
    2. Professors should not act only as lecturers of the college, they must act as a counsellor, philosopher,guide and sometimes even as a friend to their students.  Professional and respectful interaction with students must be maintained at all costs.
    3. They must stick to the Compliance with curriculum guidelines and teaching standards.
    4. A Lecture must make oneself Available during designated office hours for student consultation.
    5. It is mandatory for them to grade and feedback on assignments and assessments at the right time.
    6. Professors are required to oversee whether students are bringing non-vegetarian food (Including Egg)  onto the campus, as the consumption of non-vegetarian items is strictly forbidden within the campus premises.  
    7. They must adhere to academic integrity and ethical standards.
    8. A Lecture must not avoid the Participation in faculty meetings and professional development activities.
    9. They should Respect for diversity and inclusion in the academic environment.
    10. A Professor is a dynamic role model to all the students therefore they must treat every student equally without any partiality. If any faculty is found guilty of teasing or threatening a student by their class,caste,creed or gender will be dealt with extreme seriousness and she/he will have to face legal consequences.

 

NON-TEACHING FACULTIES RULES AND REGULATIONS

    1. They must adhere to work schedules and punctuality.
    2. All the non-teaching faculties must be Efficient and responsible in handling administrative tasks.
    3. Non-teaching faculties must maintain a Professional and courteous communication with students and staff.
    4. It is mandatory for the non teaching faculties to comply with institutional policies and procedures.
    5. They must maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
    6. Timely reporting and documentation as required.
    7. To have a healthy work environment non-teaching must have collaborative engagement with other staff members.
    8. Non-teaching faculties are instructed to participate in relevant training programs and workshops.

CODE OF CONDUCT DURING

PROGRAMS/EVENTS/CELEBRATIONS/FUNCTIONS

    1. All Functions – Culturals, Events, Seminars, Meeting, Training/ Classroom Sessions Stc. Demand Discipline And Students Must Follow The Dress Code.
    2. Discipline Must Be Maintained While Attending Functions Like College Days, Gurducation Day, And Sports Day Etc.
    3. Maintain Absolute Silence Unit The Meeting/Function Is Over.
    4. Be Seated Before The Commencement Of The Meeting.
    5. When The Chief Guest/Vip Leaves The Auditorium.
    6. Only The Official/Authorised/Viscom Photographer Is Permitted.
    7. Under the government’s educational rules, the principal has full power to inflict punishment on errant and defaulting students for lack of attendance, loss of term certificates, etc. The punishment could be fine, suspension, expulsion, etc. this is in order to maintain discipline and punctuality.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND CONCESSIONS

The Government of India and the State Government award fee concession and scholarships to poor and deserving students, For each student’s fee concession and scholarships, students have to apply on the prescribed forms which will be made available.

The fee concessions and scholarships are liable to be withdrawn for poor attendance and progress, anti-social or subversive activities.

All kinds of scholarships will be sanctioned subject to 90% attendance of the student. The payment of the scholarship amount is dependent on maintenance of 90% of the attendance and no relaxation of this rule will be granted to anybody.

Below are a few details regarding scholarships available to students of Arts and science Colleges. For further details the students are advised to contact the College Office.

1. National Merit Scholarship

Available only to children of all working teachers of recognised primary and secondary schools. Parental income should not exceed Rs.1,000/- per month. Minimum marks 60% in the aggregate in the qualifying examination.

2. State Scholarship for the Children of School Teachers

Available only to children of all working teachers of recognised primary and secondary schools. Parental income should not exceed Rs.1,000/- per month. Minimum marks 60% in the aggregate in the qualifying examination.

3. State Government Merit Scholarship Scheme

This Scholarship is available to meritorious students who come first in the state in S.S.L.C. / Matriculation / AISLC/India Council for Secondary Education/C.B.S.E. Whose parental income does not exceed Rs.25,000/- per annum.

4. Scholarship in Jawaharlal Nehru University School of International Students, New Delhi:

The Scholarship is available to a bonafide resident of Tamil Nadu intending to take up M.Phil/Ph.D. Course for Advance Studies of International affairs at the school & the Candidates should be below 25 years of age.

5. Scholarship at the Rashtriya Indian Military College Dehradun:

These Scholarships are available to candidates natives of Tamil Nadu domiciled there in who secure admission in the Rashtriya Indian Military College.

6. Award of Scholarship to cadets belonging to Tamil Nadu in National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla: PUNE.

These Scholarships are available to cadets belonging to Tamil Nadu in the Defence Academy, Khadakvasla Maharashtra State

7. Educational Concession and Scholarship to the children of Repatriates from Sri Lanka:

Students of degree classes should have secured 50% marks. They should be children of Repatriates of Sri Lanka. Income of parents should be not more than Rs.500/- per month.

8. Scheme of Scholarship to students from Non-Hindi speaking state for Post Matric studies in Hindi:

These scholarships are available to students of Higher Secondary/ pre-degree/Intermediate or equivalent examinations

 09 . First degree courses on the basis of Higher Secondary/Indian school certificate/Intermediate or equivalent examinations, MA., (Hindi) on the basis of B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., or equivalent examinations Only candidates whose mother tongue is not Hindi and who belong to non-Hindi speaking states and who take Hindi as a subject their course of study are eligible for this scholarship. The state Government offers the following concessions also.

10 . Educational concessions and scholarships to the children of Freedom Fighters.

11 . Educational concessions and scholarships to the children/dependents of Defence Service Personnel.

12 . Jawaharlal Nehru Science Talent Book Scheme. Science Books worth Rs.2000/- is given to boys and girls of first year B.Sc. degree class on the basis of merit.

13. State Collegiate Scholarships:

The scholarship under this scheme is open only to students belonging to Tamil Nadu or domiciled therein. These are awarded on the basis of the results of the qualifying Examinations to students whose parental income does not exceed Rs.6,000/- per annum.

14. Award of Anglo-Indian Scholarship

These are available to Anglo-Indian students doing their studies in Tamil Nadu.

15. Adhoc Merit Grant Scheme

SC/ST students of first year degree who have 60% and above in Higher Secondary Examinations are eligible for a book grant of Rs.300/-. This is not renewable.

16. Under Rule 92 TNER

(a) Half fee concession to Backward class (subjects to income limit specified)

(b) Full fee concession to Most Backward classes and denotified tribes (subject to income limit specified)

(c) Full fee concessions for SC (subject to income limit specified)

  1. Administrative staff members at Dhanraj Baid Jain College (DBJC) are expected to consistently demonstrate courtesy and respect in all interactions with students, academic employees, and support staff.
  2. Establishing and maintaining cooperative and collegial relationships with fellow administrative staff members is essential. Criticism of the professional reputation or work of others should be avoided, ensuring interactions are constructive and respectful. .
  3. Diligence, cooperation, and collaboration are paramount in all working relationships. Administrative staff should endeavor to resolve issues at the lowest possible level, ensuring fairness and timeliness in conflict resolution. 
  4. Staff members must be fully conversant with all aspects of DBJC’s policies and procedures and diligently implement them in their daily work.
  5. Conflict of interest situations must be avoided by administrative staff, ensuring their actions are solely in the best interests of DBJC.
  6. Confidential communications and information must be respected and not disclosed, maintaining confidentiality in line with the College’s best interests.
  7. Outside employment or compensation from external sources that may impair the efficiency and effectiveness of the administrative section is prohibited.
  8. Upholding the dignity, status, competence, and standards of the profession is essential. Staff should actively engage in personal and professional development to continually enhance skills and knowledge.
  9. Administrative staff members should contribute to public knowledge and appreciation of the profession while protecting it from misrepresentation and misunderstanding.
  10. Instances of workplace harassment based on sex, creed, race, or age must be resisted and reported to the appropriate authorities.
  11. The safety and welfare of students and staff are of paramount importance, and administrative staff must prioritize these concerns.
  12. Behaving in a manner consistent with DBJC’s Mission, values, and commitment to sustainability is expected of all staff members.

  4. Responsible and appropriate use of social media platforms and online activities connected with DBJC is expected, ensuring the College’s reputation is not compromised.
  5. Accountability, authenticity, and diligence in work duties, compliance with policies and procedures, and avoidance of unlawful behavior are mandatory.
  6. Engaging in unlawful behavior is strictly prohibited.
  7. Avoiding behavior, including alcohol or substance abuse or misuse, that adversely affects work performance is imperative.
  8. Making public comments relevant to the College and refraining from actions that bring DBJC into disrepute are expected.
  9. Taking responsibility for mistakes and working to rectify problems promptly is crucial.
  10. Providing constructive and accurate feedback to students, staff, and the College community is essential.
