Major. Dr.E.Viswanathan served as the Caretaker since June 25, 2005 (NCC/14110109), and as a Lieutenant (Associate NCC Officer) since February 19, 2007. He has successfully completed the Pre-Commission Course (PRCN) at OTA Kamptee, Maharashtra, on November 20, 2006. Additionally, He completed the Part I Refresher Course on December 1, 2015, and the Part II Refresher Course on March 30, 2022, both at OTA Kamptee. He has participated in several notable camps, including the Army Attachment Camp, Leadership Camp, Trekking Camp, and the National Integration Camp, among others.

About The NCC
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth development movement that aims to develop the character, leadership, discipline, and camaraderie of students across schools and colleges. As the military cadet corps of the Indian Armed Forces, NCC offers training across three branches—the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

NCC Certificates and Benefits
‘B’ Certificate :
Eligibility:
- 1-2 years of NCC training and attending one camp
Benefits:
- Additional marks in various public sector jobs, eligibility for the ‘C’ certificate.
‘C’ Certificate :
Eligibility:
- ‘B’ certificate, third-year cadet with 75% attendance, and 2 national camps
Benefits:
- 32 reserved vacancies in the Indian Military Academy (IMA)
- Exemption from the CDS exam for candidates with ‘A’ or ‘B’ grades in the ‘C’ certificate
- Bonus marks in recruitment for paramilitary forces like BSF, CISF, CRPF, and SSB
- Exemption from certain exams for Soldier GD post in the Indian Army
NCC Certificates and Benefits
1. International Yoga Day (June 21, 2021)
NCC cadets participated in Yoga Day, demonstrating yoga’s physical and mental benefits.
52 cadets engaged in various postures under expert guidance.
2. World Blood Donor Day (June 14, 2021)
Cadets promoted the importance of blood donation by participating in a blood donation
drive with 45 students contributing to the cause.
3. Independence Day (August 15, 2021)
Despite COVID-19 restrictions, the Independence Day celebration was filled with
patriotic fervor. Cadets organized and participated in a patriotic song competition,
expressing their love for the nation.
4. Tree Planting Drive (November 27, 2021)
NCC cadets took part in a tree-planting event, contributing to environmental
preservation and raising awareness about the critical role trees play in sustaining life on
Earth.
