Roles and Responsibilities of a Placement Officer
- A placement officer is tasked with establishing partnerships with companies, coordinating campus placement activities, and helping students align their skills with industry requirements to secure job opportunities.
- Responsible for facilitating internships and job placements, a placement officer provides career guidance, organizes workshops and training sessions, and prepares students for successful recruitment through resume building, mock interviews, and soft skills development.
- The placement officer serves as the liaison between students and employers, ensuring smooth coordination of recruitment events, managing placement records, and assisting students in identifying suitable career paths.
- A placement officer oversees the entire placement process, from sourcing potential employers to coordinating interviews, while also mentoring students on professional etiquette, networking, and industry trends.
- Ensuring that students are job-ready, a placement officer designs and implements career development programs, works closely with faculty and industry experts, and monitors employment outcomes to enhance placement success.
Placement
- The industry is always on the lookout for students who are vibrant, energetic individuals and ready to accept challenges, attentive, a good academic background, fast learners, open to learning even at work and more importantly, good communication skills.
- This activity focuses upon the personality development to make the students reliable, with positive attitude and right decision making.
