Functions of IPR Cell
All works of literature, art, inventions, names, symbols, photographs, models, and industrial designs are considered forms of intellectual property.
There are two types of intellectual property: industrial property, which include trademarks, industrial designs and models, inventions (patents), and geographic indications of source.
Literary and artistic works, such as books, poems, plays, films, musicals, cartoons, paintings, photos, statues, and architectural designs are all protected by copyright.
The following goals guided the formation of an IPR Cell at Dhanraj Baid Jain College:
- Raising public awareness of intellectual property rights.
- To educate faculty on the process of filing a patent.
- To hold workshops and seminars on intellectual property rights in order to raise awareness among educators and students.
- To encourage new Start-up ventures on college campus.
